MacMUNN, Sir George.
Behind the Scenes in Many Wars.
First edition, first impression, scarce in the dust jacket. Sir George MacMunn (1869-1952), a lieutenant-general in the Royal Artillery, served with distinction on the North-West frontier, during the third Anglo-Burmese War, in South Africa, and the Dardanelles campaign; his obituary in the Glasgow Herald described him as having a military career which “read like a page from Kipling”.
