An extremely uncommon book signed or inscribed as Popski died just a year after publication.

Octavo. Original mid-brown cloth, title gilt to the spine, Popski’s astrolabe device gilt to the upper board. Portrait frontispiece and 9 other plates, 4 folding maps, title page in red and black. Slightly cocked, endpapers a little foxed, otherwise very good, protected by a well-made home-made heavy pale blue paper jacket, lettered “Popski” on the spine.
