Shilliday of the 38th Australian Infantry Battalion, awarded the DCM at Passchendaele in October 1917; also inscribed on the front free endpaper: “Wishing you many happy returns of 19/ 3(?)/ 44, from the ‘Office Girls'”.
Octavo. Original pale yellow cloth, spine lettered in blue, design by Wyndham Lewis in blue on front cover, top edge blue. With the dust jacket. Front cover design repeated on title page. Price-clipped jacket, spine toned, label removed, minor dampstaining, otherwise a very good copy.
