First edition, first impression. With the author’s signed presentation inscription to the title page, “To Arthur with all the best from Eric”. A letter from Ambler sending this book to the previous owner of this copy relates, “This first edition copy of Uncommon Danger was the one I gave to my stepfather Arthur Waters, when it was first published. It was among my mother’s books when she died and was retrieved by my sister.” Uncommon in the dust jacket especially so inscribed.
