JACKSON, Lady Catherine Charlotte.
A handsomely bound set. The popular historian Lady Jackson was widely read in standard authorities (and even unpublished papers), and her narrative style – bumptious and with “a great deal of go” (Saturday Review, 25 Jan 1879, 117) – made her histories readable works of light literature.
