First UK collected edition, first impression, one of 6,000 copies printed. The four poems which make up Four Quartets, “Burnt Norton”, “East Cocker”, “The Dry Salvages” and “Little Gidding”, were published separately between 1940 and 1941. The first collected edition was published in the US in 1943.
Octavo. Original tan cloth, titles to spine gilt. With the dust jacket. Ownership signature to front free endpaper. Spine gently rolled, boards bowed; an excellent copy in the toned and creased jacket with some short closed tears to extremities.
