First edition, sole printing. One of two books produced by Warhol in or around 1954 each produced in very small numbers - possibly between 50 and 100 copies. With the Andy Warhol Estate stamps to the rear pastedown with the pencil initials of "T.J.H.". These initials are those of Tim Hunt a key figure in the Warhol Foundation. The stamps confirm the book to have been uncirculated and in the possession of Warhol at the time of the artist's death in 1987. This largely accounts for the remarkable condition of this copy.
Octavo. Original Warhol designed pictorial cream boards, printed on various coloured paper. 20 full page illustrations by Warhol. Light bump and short split at the top of the spine but an exceptionally fresh copy and exceedingly scarce thus.
