Quarto. Original yellow boards, printed paper label to spine, titles and pictorial decoration to boards in black. Frontispiece and 20 plates, hand-coloured illustrations throughout. Small bookplate to rear pastedown. Wear to corners, joints cracked at head of spine panel with previous repair visible, spotting to endpapers and titles page and occasionally to the contents, which are toned.
