Second edition, David Jones's copy with his signature to the title page and pencilled annotations, including a note responding to a line from Francis Bacon's introduction, "What nonsense from someone who should know better, for Bacon is a great artist, but maybe he does not mean what he says here…".
Obling quarto. Original red wrappers printed in black. 16 plates. Wrappers lightly rubbed and creased, spine faded. An excellent copy.
