First edition, sole printing. One of just 60 copies, mostly unnumbered as here despite the claim of the colophon. Waugh's preface is the only text, giving this publication strong claims for inclusion in the primary section of his bibliography. This handsome and elusive book marks the end of Waugh's pretensions to work commercially in the graphic arts.
Folio. Original textured buff paper boards, device to upper board in red, all edges untrimmed. 34 designs by Crease. Some minor wear at the ends of the upper joint but a lovely copy of a particularly vulnerable book rarely found in this condition.
