First Edition, First Impression, Limited Issue. One of only 50 numbered copies signed by the author who has also hand coloured the illustrations. The text appears in both the original French and in an English translation made by Ezra Pound. This copy - number 50 was apparently retained by the publishers. It bears the later ownership inscription of M. Marrot who became a partner in the original publishers Elkin Mathews. The inscription is dated 22.ix.27 and bears the Bloomsbury Street address. Rare.
Octavo. Original decorated orange paper boards. With twelve designs by the author. A fine copy in the original tissue dust jacket - slightly frayed.
