First edition, first printing, large paper issue being one of 510 numbered copies signed by Hemingway. A superior example of an impressive and somewhat vulnerable production.
Octavo. Original japon-backed blue paper boards, with gilt lettered black leather lettering label, top edge trimmed with the other edges uncut, original glassine jacket, original publisher's slipcase. Small patch of toning to the upper board but an exceptionally fresh copy in the original glassine dust jacket - chipped at the spine - in the publisher's card slipcase with a single minor scuff and trivial rubbing at the edges.
