First edition of volume II only. From the library of Aldous Huxley with his bookplate. Books from Huxley's library are scarce since the library was largely destroyed in a fire. Numerous scholarly pencil annotations throughout the book are certainly in the hand of Julian Rollnick the South African anthropologist. Whether any buried within these marginalia are by Huxley we have not been able to determine.

Octavo. Original white and green cloth, titles to spine gilt, green top-stain. Ownership signature of Julian Rollnick to front free endpaper, some light rubbing to cloth but an excellent copy.
