Second edition. Signed by the author on the half-title. Despite having the bookplate of broadcaster Frank Muir on the front pastedown this is apparently some strange species of fabrication. We are informed that Muir had no interest whatsoever in billiards and no books on the subject were in his library. Somehow one of his spare bookplates unused at the time of his death has found its way into this copy. We were taken in by this subterfuge - it seemed so credible a notion!
Octavo. Original green cloth, titles to spine gilt and to upper board in blind. One chapter in the contents list is circled in blue pen, some notes in the text, boards lightly rubbed, free endpapers tanned, contents toned. A very good copy.
