Satchmo unfolds his trademark handkerchief. A lovely character study by leading Danish concert photographer Jan Persson. Armstrong toured Europe in 1962 with a band that featured Billy Kyle, who had established his reputation as pianist/arranger for the legendary John Kirby Sextet, on piano; trombonist and singer Trummy Young who recorded with Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie in the 40s, and joined Armstrong's All-Stars when they still truly deserved the name; and clarinettist Joe Darensbourg who had played with legends such as Jelly Roll Morton, Fate Marable, and Kid Ory.
