First edition, first impression, Inscribed by T. S. Eliot on the title page: "Inscribed for W. J. Crawley by Old Possum." The recipient was a director at Faber and Faber, and a friend of Eliot's from the early 1930s until the poet's death in 1965.
Octavo. Original yellow cloth, title to spine in red. With the yellow dust jacket printed in black with designs by Eliot. Custom tan morocco-backed folding case by The Chelsea Bindery. The jacket just a shade dusty at the spine, the ink of the inscription very slightly smeared; overall, fine in the best example of the dust jacket we have ever seen.
