With the signed presentation inscription to the front pastedown from the actress Deborah Kerr who created the role of the leading lady in the play’s first production, “For Philip [Young] My best love and all my gratitude Deborah”. And with the recipient’s ownership inscription to the front free endpaper.

Octavo. Original grey boards, photographic illustration to upper board, titles to spine and upper board in gilt on a puce ground, top edge stained black. With the dust jacket. Housed in a quarter tan morocco drop down box, titles to spine gilt. Illustrated with scenes from the stage play. Boards lightly tanned but an excellent copy in a somewhat faded dust jacket with a couple of very minor nibbles to the upper panel.
