The Bombay Edition of the Works.

Signed Limited Edition. Signed by the author in vol. I on the half title. The Bombay edition was initially published in 20 volumes and limited to 1000 copies only. It eventually grew to 31 volumes as Kipling continued to write, but the last 11 volumes were limited to 500 copies only. Because later volumes were issued seperately and at a lower limitation, complete sets are rare.

31 volumes. Finely bound in recent burgundy full morocco, with raised bands, blue and black labels, gilt title and decoration on spine, top edge gilt others untrimmed, marble endpapers. Printed from Florentine Press type on hand-made paper with watermark bearing, “RK” on each second leaf. Beautifully bound set in fine condition.
