Foundation; Foundation and Empire; Second Foundation.

First editions, first printings. Volume I in binding variant A (cloth) with correct page dimensions, and the first state dust jacket with rear panel advertising three titles. Volume III inscribed by the author on the front free endpaper, "For Donald Susan best wishes Isaac Asimov". Together these three books form Asimov's enduring masterpiece, the Foundation trilogy, the most important work of its kind. A very attractive set of these scarce and vulnerable books in the original dust jackets.

3 volumes, octavo. Original blue, red cloth and turquoise cloth, titles to spines in pink, black, and brown, galaxy designs to upper boards of volumes I and II. With the dust jackets. Cloth lightly rubbed at extremities, bump to volume II at tail of spine and to volume III at top edges of boards, contents toned. An excellent set in the lightly rubbed jackets with toned spine panels and nicks and a few tiny chips at the extremities. Jacket to volume III with a short closed tear to the upper panel and light dampstain to the spine and lower panel.
