Bound in the publisher's full vellum, with elaborate gilt decoration to spine and front boards, gilt title, multiple gilt & blue rule to front board, gilt sword emblem to endpapers, top edge gilt, others untrimmed, housed in a cloth covered protective slip case. Frontispiece and twenty colour illustrations by Eleanor F Brickdale. A little rubbing to extremities, lacks ties,otherwise in very good condition.
