A salesman's dummy, or blad, for the lavish royal quarto signed limited edition of the 100th edition of The Compleat Angler. The edition is particularly notable for its photogravures by the renowned photographer of the Broads, Peter Henry Emerson, five of which are bound in here.

Royal quarto (325 × 255 mm). Original dull red morocco-grain cloth, spine lettered in gilt, marbled endpapers (the same as used in the deluxe binding), top edge gilt. Portrait and 14 photogravure plates by P. H. Emerson and George Bankhart, captioned tissue guards, wood-engraved vignettes on india paper and mounted; title printed in red and black; text leaves inserted up to p. 40 with several repeats. Spine slightly sunned and darkened in places, inner hinges just cracked but holding, an excellent copy.
