First trade edition, first impression. Inscribed by the illustrator on the front flyleaf "To my Mother and Father, October 1910, Arthur Rackham" with a small sketch of Brünnhilde's head.
Quarto. Original brown cloth, titles and pictorial decoration to spine and upper board gilt, pictorial endpapers, brown top-stain. Tipped-in colour frontispiece and 33 plates with printed tissue-guards. Spine and edge of upper board faded, ends of spine rubbed with short cracks to the joints, hinges a little cracked, contents toned. A very good copy.
