An extremely rare set of hand-coloured broadsides, this number 81 of 250 sets that present Milne's verses with Shepard's illustrations. Including the poems "Happiness", "Vespers", "The King's Breakfast", "Lines and Squares", "Hoppity", and "Teddy Bear". These sets are scarce as in most cases they were broken up and the sheets individually framed. This is the only set known to have appeared in commerce. Provenance: from the collection of Pat McInally.
A portfolio of 6 sheets each with a verse and hand-coloured illustrations. In the original paper-covered board portfolio, with two labels and one set of title labels laid-down. Only occasional light foxing, portfolio slightly rubbed with a crease to the upper flap. Excellent condition.
