First Edition Large Paper Issue. Number 11 of just 350 numbered copies signed by both author and illustrator. The quintessential 20th-century children's book in very desirable state.
Large octavo. Original quarter blue cloth, light blue boards, white paper title label with black lettering to front board. With the dust jacket. Illustrated throughout by Ernest Shepard, and with folding map at back. A fine copy with some offsetting to the endpapers in a near fine dustwrapper that just has slight toning to the spine and minor creasing to its head. A most attractive copy.
