First editions, first impressions. Although the publication statement in Volume I gives 1951 as the date of issue, all three volumes were published simultaneously in an edition of 4740 sets in September 1952, 500 sets of sheets were exported for the American edition, published 1953. Eade corrected the titles of a number of the speeches and inserts the Secret Session Speeches in the correct chronological order.
3 volumes, octavo. Original dark blue buckram, titles to spines gilt. With the dust jackets. Title pages in red and black. A stunning set in the dust jackets that are very slightly faded along the spines, with a small chip from the upper panel of volume III.
