First Printings. Contributions by various turn of the century worthies, and edited by Lady Randolph Spencer Churchill, mother of Winston. While far from being uncommon, sets in this condition are rare - the binding materials being especially prone to wear.
10 volumes, quarto. Original full morocco, 4 volumes in black, 4 in red and 2 volumes in cream, each with different and elaborate gilt decoration to boards, all volumes top edges gilt. Illustrated. A little light shelf wear, minor foxing to some edges, otherwise a fine looking set.
