Octavo. Original full vellum, elaborately gilt to spine and upper board, pictorial endpapers, top edge gilt, others untrimmed. Colour frontispiece, vignette title, and 22 plates by C. E. Brock. Contemporary ownership inscription to front blank. Lower board a little creased, free endpapers tanned, light spotting to edges. An excellent copy.
