A very handsome set, printed in London by the University Press.
20 volumes, octavo (211 × 153 mm). Contemporary dark blue morocco, spines gilt in compartments between 5 raised bands, gilt titles in two panels, sides panelled in gilt with a geometric folded ribbon pattern inside a single-line outer rule, gilt inner dentelles, marbled endpapers, top edges gilt, others uncut, some fore-edges still unopened. Each play with frontispiece in sepia, captioned tissue guards printed in red. A light touch of rubbing to one or two corners, but a fine set.
