4 volumes, large quarto (295 × 236 mm). Contemporary tree calf, smooth spines richly gilt in compartments, red and green morocco labels, the latter with elaborate gilt urns, sides bordered in gilt with a rope roll, turn-ins gilt with a Greek key roll, marbled endpapers, yellow edges. Engraved frontispiece portrait of the author by J. Miller after G. Kneller, and 10 other plates, 3 by C. Grignion after F. Hayman. Contemporary engraved bookplates. A little worn at extremities, joints lightly cracked but held firm by cords, with the occasional mark or stain, but a very good set.
