First edition. "The present Manual has been written with a view to supplying the information which is essential to a thorough understanding of the character and ims of 'Pan-Turanianism." Detailed official study of the Turan region, or central Asia, covering the Finno-Urgic, Samoyed, Tunguz and Turkish people, this latter including the Turks, Mongols, Yakuts, Tatars, Kazakhs, and Uzbeks. Turanianism, the unification of all the Turkic peoples, was an important ideological plank of the Young Turk movement. Uncommon.

Octavo, original blue cloth, title gilt to the spine, double ruled blind panel to the boards. Large folding coloured map in end-pocket. Spine sunned, boards a little rubbed and spotted, some browning, overall very good.
