First Edition First Impression of a typical piece of Agate frippery, printing several acerbic essays on various sports including boxing, cricket and golf. The pictures are wonderful. Scarce in the jacket.
Large octavo. Original green cloth, titles to spine gilt. With the Whistler designed dust jacket. Decorations by Rex Whistler including 4 full page. Some minor spotting to the fore edge, spine lettering a little dull but an excellent copy in the somewhat grubby dust jacket price-clipped at the spine and missing a small piece at the point where the lower panel meets the spine. There is a further tear to the front panel but with no paper loss at all.
