The ownership signature on front free endpaper of bopth volumes belongs to Ernest Jones Jones was a neurologist and psychoanalyst who played a key role in arranging English translations of Freud, and in setting up what became the standard edition of Freud's writings.
Octavo. Two Volumes. Original burgundy cloth, spine lettered in gilt. 3 coloured plates in Volume One along with 95 black and white illustrations, Volume Two contains 35 black and white illustrations. Head of front board on Volume Two slightly bleached by sun exposure, head and and tail of spines slightly bumped, a couple of ink marks to front board on Volume Volume One, crisp and clean interiors, copies in very good condition.
