A handsome copy with lovely etchings of the Thames.
Two volumes, quarto (302 x 240 mm). Contemporary crimson half morocco, titles and decoration to spines, matching pebble-grained cloth boards, marbled endpapers, gilt edges. Gift inscribtion to the binder's front blank, some occasional light foxing, lower joint to volume 1 slightly cracked, boards a little marked and faded, a very good copy. Illustrated with nearly four hundred engravings in the text and sixteen etches or steel plates.
