2 volumes, quarto. Original brown buckram, titles to spines gilt, chestnut top-stain, other edges uncut. Portrait frontispiece to Volume I and 8 other plates, 2 of them folding, numerous illustrations to the text, many full-page, folding coloured map at the rear. Bookplates to the front pastedowns, light foxing to the edges, very slight encroachment into the margins, cloth a little rubbed, spines slightly sunned, a very good set.
