All first editions, first impressions. The Far Side of The World has a second state dust jacket as usual. The publisher printed the incorrect price on the jacket, an error solved by clipping the old price and adding a sticker for £9.95, as here. Very few survived with the original price intact. A complete set of this celebrated sequence of novels capturing life in the Royal Navy during the Napoleonic wars, which is certainly amongst the best liked series of historical novels ever written.

20 volumes, octavo. Original boards. With the dust jackets. Master and Commander a little creased and rubbed at the top but still nice and bright, neat ownership signature to front free endpaper of Post Captain, Ionian Mission is price-clipped, The Far Side of The World is price-clipped and has bookplate to front pastedown. Overall an unusually bright set in excellent condition.
