First edition, first printing. A large collection of poetry, sayings, and short esays supposedly revealed to Sarah Shatford by the spirit of Shakespeare, whom she claimed to have contacted during a seance, and who later spoke to her as a disembodied voice.
Octavo. Original yellow cloth, titles to spine and upper board in purple, purple top-stain. Ownerhsip signature to front free endpaper. Partially unopened. Binding lightly rubbed with a small bump to lower edge, spine a bit faded, contents toned. An excellent copy.
