First edition, first impression. Edward Tennant, an amateur poet who was killed in WWI, was the elder brother of asthete and aspiring author Stephen Tennant, made famous by Cecil Beaton's portraits. This is the author's copy, with his bookplate, and the note "written between the years" added to the title page above the dates.
Octavo. Original blue cloth, vellum label to upper board, yellow edges. Lightly rubbed, spine a little tanned, endpapers browned, spot to top corner throughout contents, growing larged around the middle of the book. A very good copy.
