First editions thus, first impressions. Blake had a profound effect on Yeats, and this handsomely presented three-volume edition and study stands as the most significant piece of scholarship on Blake before Geoffrey Keynes's work in the 1920s.

3 volumes, large octavo. Original green cloth, titles and elaborate decoration to spines and upper boards gilt, green coated endpapers, top edges gilt, others untrimmed. Portrait frontispiece to each volume. Bindings very lightly rubbed at extremities, contents unopened and a little toned, rear hinge to volume III cracked. An excellent set.
