Only edition, "For Official Use Only," 1060 copies of the first-named and 1200 of the second, which is the handbook for participants. This apparently unrecorded, perhaps a copy in the Montgomery-Massingberd Papers at LHCMA, with less than a handful of copies for the Manoeuvres of 1925 appearing institutionally. Taking place under the direction of Sir John French as Inspector-General of the Forces, these manoeuvres pitted the Red Force under Lieut.-Gen. Sir H.L. Smith-Dorrien, his cavalry commanded by Brigadier-E.A.H. Allenby, against the Blues commanded by Sir Arthur Paget, many other names found in the composition of the forces would rise to prominence in just a few years' time. An important resource on the preparedness of the British Army.

Foolscap quarto, original buff cloth-backed printed boards; and octavo, sewn in the original buff wraps. Tables, 2 of them folding, 6 folding maps in an end-pocket. Ex-Royal Army Military College Library, occasional ink stamps to the Report, boards slightly soiled, hinges a little loose, but contents clean and sound, the Instructions stamped on the upper panel of the wraps, else very good.
