Edition of 190. Plate 1 from the book 25 Cats Name Sam and One Blue Pussy. Printed by Seymour Berlin. Andy's mother Julia Warhola did the calligraphy. Inscribed to Stuart Preston upper left by Warhol. Preston was the American art critic and writer for the New Yorker. His post-war years were spent largely in New York where he became a leading figure in the contemporary art world. Framed with the statement of limitation page signed by Warhol.
Offset lithograph on wove paper hand coloured by Warhol and friends with Dr. Martin's aniline watercolor dye. Very good condition, small paper crease in middle right side. Sheet size: 22.5 x 15 cm
