First edition, first impression. Formally belonging to the Brighton Public Library with their blind stamp to the margin of each plate and label to the front pastedown. An appropriate provenance if somewhat disfiguring since the photographer was born and lived in Brighton. Scarce.
Folio. Original red morocco, titles and rules to upper board and spine gilt, all edges gilt. Illustrated with 40 original mounted photographs by Harrington. Several margins frayed and repaired, hinges repaired, label removed from front pastedown, some foxing to text not effecting the images, binding scuffed and a little darkened. Very good.
