The frontispiece of this book is one of golf's iconic images - portraying the 20 year-old Ouimet at Brookline in 1913 with his 10 year-old caddy Eddie Lowery. This edition was published to promote the work of the Francis Ouimet Scholarship Fund, which was created to give college scholarship support to children who worked as caddies at clubs in Massachusetts.
