A Letter from a Student in Oxford,
to his Friend in the Country. Containing A short Account of the late Proceedings of Trinity-College in that University.London: Printed for Bernard Lintot, 1709 Stock Code: 146783
A pamphlet detailing controversy at Trinity College, Oxford, involving feuding fellows and unjust expulsions, alongside a college servant running a brothel house; the acrimony and public divisions led to much gossip within the University. This is one of two editions of the same year, this of 20 pages, another of 16. ESTC locates copies in seven institutions.
Octavo (206 x 132 mm). Disbound pamphlet, remnants of earlier spine, pages uncut, recently reglued.
Light dampstaining and minor notation to title and final page, peripheral nicking. A good copy.
