First editions, first impressions. Volumes I and III of The Autobiography and Ballads and Poems signed by Alfred and Violet Munnings. With a manuscript letter by Violet Munnings, dated 30 January 1962, giving opening times for Beldon House and studio, alongside other ephemera related to the book and Alfred Munnings, constituting newspaper clippings, a postcard of a Munnings artwork, a thank-you slip for the book, and a French art gallery entrance ticket.

Autobiography in 3 volumes, Ballads and Poems in 1 volume. Original red cloth, titles to spines gilt, gilt facsimile of author's signature to front covers. With the dust jackets.

Illustrations

Photographic frontispiece portraits and 536 black and white illustrations by the artist.

Condition

Booksellers' tickets to all but volume I of autobiography. Some foxing to edges, volume II of Autobiography with gift inscription to verso of front free endpaper, Ballads and Poems with brown staining to endpapers. Very good copies in the dust jackets, volumes I and II slightly soiled, volumes I and II of Autobiography priceclipped, some creasing and chipping.
