This is the privately printed autobiography of the American businessman, bank president, and Chairman of the American Red Cross during World Wars I and II. It was published by his widow Helen Whitney Gibson one year after his death in 1950; the print run is unknown but is likely to have been very small.
Octavo. Original black pebbled calf, spine lettered in gilt and ruled in blind, front board ruled in blind with autograph signature stamped in gilt to centre, gilt-flecked marbled endpapers.
Frontispiece with tissue guard, 96 photographic illustrations, 2 folding charts.
Spine slightly rolled, very minor rubbing to extremities, a near-fine copy.
