NotesFirst edition, first impression, rare in the jacket. One of the last letters Potter wrote to Norman Warne was about this book, but the project was laid aside with his death. Fruing Warne was pressing Potter for another book, and this compilation, rather than an original work, was agreed upon. The frontispiece was initially prepared for Hildesheimer & Faulkner in 1894.
