Notes

First edition of the lectures William Morris gave before the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings on July 1884 and July 1893, printed using the Golden Type of the Kelmscott Press. With the black morocco bookplate of the prominent American book collector Henry William Poor (1844-1915), who made his fortune in banking and used the funds to accumulate an exceptional collection of fine bindings, illuminated manuscripts, first editions, and private press books. His business failed, and his library was auctioned in 1908.
