Raymond Chandler was born in Chicago, Illinois, in 1888, yet was relocated just two years later in the hopes he would receive a better education in London, England in 1900. Educated at the noted Dulwich College Public School, whose alumni include P.G. Wodehouse and C. S. Forester,
