Behaviorism.New York, The People's Institute Publishing Company, 1925 Stock Code: 136450
NotesFirst edition in book form, signed by Watson on the front free endpaper, and scarce thus. The 12 lectures were given by Watson from 1924 to 1925 for the non-profit People's Institute as part of their adult education programme, and gave a popular overview of the behaviorist discipline. Each lecture was printed in pamphlet form afterwards by the Institute's eponymous Publishing Company, and subsequently collected and issued together in the present book. Variant issues are known, but can be distinguished only the presence of the dust jacket, rarely found.
Octavo. Original black cloth, printed paper labels to spine and front cover.
Very light wear at head of spine, minor rubbing at extremities, cloth a little marked. A very good copy.
