Blasting and Bombarding was the first of two autobiographical books written by Lewis (followed by Rude Assignment, 1950), and covers the period from 1914 to 1926, tracking Lewis's progress through the First World War and the literary and artistic upheavals of Modernism.

Some spots to edges and endpapers, but an excellent copy in the jacket which is somewhat spine-tanned, very slightly creased at the head of spine panel, and bears a few minor marks to rear panel.
